My Wedding in a Week!

Bonjour lovelies!

Today I wanted to share with you my fabulous experience as the wedding planner for the MIX 107.3 and Washington Bridal Showcase My Wedding in a Week presented by Wedding Wire.

I was asked to do this wedding back in December, and was not sure what to expect at first.  I mean, a wedding – in a week? The whole point of my profession is preventing people from waiting until the last minute to do things! After I got past the backwards thinking, I really had a lot of fun.

The wedding was held on January 27, 2012 at the Mt. Vernon Restaurant Inn in Alexandria, VA. The vendors I worked with were flexible, professional and  easy to work with.

This was different than most weddings I’ve done because the turn around was so quick and the planning time was so intense. After it was all said and done it was a fabulous day and everything came together beautifully. Heather and Gary were a super sweet couple and the radio station as well as the Washington Bridal Showcase people were so kind and helpful. I have included a slideshow of photos for you below.

Washingtonian Bride & Groom Unveiled

This year the Washingtonian Bride & Groom Unveiled showcase was held at the Mandarin Oriental in Washington, DC on January 22. It was an amazing experience and I was so happy that I was able to attend, even though I was in the middle of My Wedding in a Week chaos.

Then there was the Reem Acra fashion show…a parade of gorgeous gowns! After the show I was able to meet Reem Acra, however, I have no proof of that, because my phone died right before I met her – so I guess you will just have to take my word for it!

Goals & Resolutions for 2012

So I have given a lot of thought to my resolutions and now that it is already FEBRUARY, I guess I should share…I am only going to share 5 as my real list may overwhelm even the toughest of readers…

Grow my business! I finally made an office space for myself so I have no excuse!

Learn French – This is a resolution left over from last year but I haven’t given up on it yet!

Grow spiritually, share my faith, talk to God more!

Save $MONEY$ – Even though I head to Israel in October, I still need to find a way to save!

Stop stressing out! I have to realize everything will get done in God’s timing…Be still and know that He is God:)
